Eileen Espiritu, L.Ac., M.Ac.
Prior to acupuncture school, Eileen worked in the corporate world for 10 years. With an information technology background, her tasks involved finding “bugs’’ in applications so they operated without errors. The computer world may seem significantly different from acupuncture, but she sees a similarity between them. The “bugs” are the symptoms that emerge to warn us of the body’s imbalances. Eileen believes acupuncture goes further by determining the root cause of those symptoms or distress, whether it is physical, mental, or emotional; it awakens the body’s innate ability to establish equilibrium and connection by tapping into that healing within.
Eileen is a Pennsylvania Medical Board Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.). She received her Master of Acupuncture Studies (M.Ac.) degree from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies and holds a certificate in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy from the Embody Lab. She also received her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from Temple University’s Fox School of Business.
Eileen approaches treatment through a trauma-informed lens and offers a judgement-free space where safety is of utmost importance. She is passionate about treating the manifestations of stress and trauma, and how it impacts individuals personally and systemically. She is open to treating individuals of any background. Her clients have included children, teenagers, adults, and senior citizens. Eileen recognizes that trauma is not the traumatic event, but what happens within an individual because of that trauma, so she is willing to listen and hold space for whatever comes up for clients. When you make an appointment with her, she joins you on your healing journey.
Eileen is committed to her own path of healing through various practices so she can support her own physical, mental, and emotional well-being. She receives acupuncture regularly and finds that it complements her routine western medicine physician and therapy appointments.
